I'm a 19 year old artist who´s trying to paint souls with all the shades I can find. I take my inspiration out of the air, the earth, life and the pain of it. I have always been traveling with words, experimenting with them. They are a comfort and the best way for me to express my thoughts. 

I study language by its true form; Poetry.

 

Everything you say has a meaning so why not expanding that meaning into something lasting. The written word is timeless and that's the reason why it fascinates me, the way one line can linger even more than an entire book sometimes. How you can write in any genre as long as you do it with great passion.

 

I recently started singing discovered one of the greatest things while being trapped in a nightmare, the kind you never even dare to dream. When I was on vacation in Sweden the social services together with the police stormed my families holiday house based on rumors of the villagers. The social workers took my minor siblings and when they stormed my room and read some of my poetry and found a simple modern sextoy they acted like we were back in the middle ages and accused my of prostitution. They didn´t have any proof or facts yet It took me and my family three heavy months to prove the fact that I was innocent, to win the trail and to be released by the judge.

 

In the meanwhile I was kept at an closed institution for troubled teenagers. I was there; An 19 year old innocent woman without any freedom. There were moments when I really couldn´t reach the humanity in all of it but although the despair rested deep within me I stayed myself while trying to find that little bit of sunlight in what seemed to be a everlasting winter. The only positive thing in there was being with the teachers of music and art. They really kept the creativity in me alive and made me discover my own singing.

 

In their classes I could be free of mind for a while and that was the release I needed, to feel for a moment like a bird again.

There abandoned from the outside world and truth is where I discovered my greatest passion besides writing which I have been doing since the age of twelve. I'm a poet who reads shadows and paints them with different colors and different views. I'm open minded and never judge any one. My favorite Phrase is "Treat every one the way you wish to be treated"

 

I´m not afraid to write about what I think and to deal with the darker subjects of our society such as; abuse relationships, addiction, violence, eroticism, anxiety, despair, love and longing. I write about those subjects in a poetic sense and lately together with melodies.

I want to explore the real and the fake in it, inside of an addicts mind, through the fear, understand the aggression, the desire. I want to discover the lovers in a relation and touch their obsession of things.

 

I want my writing to contain the purity of reality instead of denying it. A small truth of things instead of the usual pretend. I am convinced that in music and art you have to be honest about emotions and not hide them away because life is not just about roses it contains thorns. I try to write about the darkness of the reality in which we live that's why many of my pieces are considered sad and melancholic. Although I am not a sad person at all, I have a very energetic and positive attitude and try to see everything on the bright side.

 

I take my inspiration from all over the world, from those smaller artists we don´t know so much about such as: Gem club, Dakota suite, The irrepressibles, Robot Koch, AaRON, The xx, Susie Suh, Paul Hartnoll, Jerry Burns, Hiatus, J.Pee.j, Above and Beyond, Anathema, Trading Yesterday, Lifehouse, Yoav,Emily browning, Mt Eden, Apparat, Jake Walden, Jimmy Eat World, Keane, Michelle Featherly, Daughter,Zola Jesus,lamb,plumb.

 

And those better known artists such as:

Snow patrol, Eminem, Skylar Grey, Adele, Damien Rice, Alicia Keys, Evanescence, The Verve, Birdy, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, The killers, Joshua Radin, Regina Spektor, Florence and the machine.

 

I love music the most of all, but also movies are a big part of where my inspiration comes from. I love the movie: Candy, Modigliani, If only, Griffin and Phoenix, Sucker Punch, The fountain, The great Gatsby, One day, Elegy, Dying young, Autumn in New York, 500 Days of Summer, Inception. Although Johnny Depp stays my favorite actor on a shared first place with Leonardo Dicaprio.

 

I create and collect my thoughts and try my best to give the ink a depth of purity and sense, to enlighten pain by expressing it on paper.
